COACH WINN

SPORTS AND MARKETING

Coach Winn Sports and Marketing is a youth sports consulting business that helps parents, coaches, municipalities, and youth organizations better serve kids at early ages in youth sports. We want to provide a toolkit of knowledge to help navigate the often complex world of youth sports. Being a parent is complex, and sports, if done right, can benefit a child for the rest of his or her life. We highlight and educate all the positive growth elements in youth sports and protect kids from some of the predatory actions that can harm them. We want to be a part of the village of stakeholders who make sports fun and safe for kids.

My Purpose is Helping Kids and Parents In Sports

As Coach Fentriss Winn for over fifty-five years, I have witnessed the power of youth sports to transform lives. Not only does it provide children with a platform where they can thrive athletically and socially, but also equips them with vital life skills that will benefit them long into adulthood. Knowing this commitment first-hand has made me passionate about connecting stakeholders in the kids' space; like teams, parents and organizations - doing my part to make sure our young ones are given every opportunity possible! The phrase "It takes a village" is as relevant now than ever when considering how we shepherd our youths toward success.

Parents: The Most Influential Role in Raising Kids

Our kids are exposed to a broad range of influences before they even reach their teenage years. From friends, media outlets and the vastness of cyberspace to the ever-increasing presence in young people's lives - it is vital that parents remain at the helm as primary educators and influencers for children.

Who Belongs in Your Child's Sports Village?

It is vital that we have a thorough understanding of the environment in which our children grow and learn. As parents, it's crucial to inspect what influences will greet them each day - from schools they attend to teams or organizations they join. Together with our kids, let’s take some time to survey who forms part of their village – both on the field of play and behind-the-scenes!

Youth Sports: More than Just Winning - Focus on Fun

With the pressure to win dominating youth sports today, our children are at risk of being deprived of all the positive benefits that playing can offer. This narrow mentality fails to recognize what makes athletics such a valuable part of growing up and puts an unnecessary burden on young athletes who simply wish for joyous participation. We must remember why we play—for fun and community rather than solely striving for titles.

Show Gratitude to Dedicated Volunteers

Show appreciation for the unsung heroes of youth sports! There are many people in this world who dedicate their time and energy to ensure children can experience a safe, enjoyable sporting environment. Take a moment today to honor coaches, parents, snackbar workers - anyone and everyone helping create memorable experiences for young athletes. Let’s give these everyday heroes the recognition they deserve with kindness and gratitude!

Youth Sports are a Billion Dollar Business

As a key part of youth culture, sports-related activities have seen tremendous growth in recent years. The current market is estimated to be an impressive $19 billion and projected to skyrocket to nearly $78 billion by the year 2026! This signifies that youth interest in athletics has never been higher, allowing young players around the world many opportunities for development and success.

YOUTH SPORTS CONSULTING

WE CAN'T EXPECT PARENTS TO KNOW!

WHAT WE DON'T KNOW!

With the ever-evolving world of youth sports, investing in awareness and education is more important than ever before.

Parents' and children's roles should be at the forefront when it comes to guiding youths into safe sporting endeavors that they can thrive in.

We must make sure we are not just looking for success on a scoreboard but actively safeguarding young minds from potential harm. Only then will this century’s generation develop lifelong benefits derived through sport participation.

  • Exploring Different Sports: Why It's Beneficial for Young Kids to Try Different Activities

When it comes to kids and sports, it can be difficult to decide whether they should dedicate themselves to one sport or play multiple sports. On the one hand, focusing on a single sport allows kids to become specialists, honing their skills and making them more competitive in that particular area. On the other hand, playing multiple sports offers kids an opportunity to learn different techniques and physical benefits from various activities and foster team spirit.

Ultimately, what's best for kids depends heavily on their personalities: some kids may flourish in a specialized environment, while others may need a variety of different activities. It's important for parents and coaches alike to assess their children's interests before deciding on a strategy - after all, kids who enjoy playing will have an easier time excelling!

Of course, kids should also have plenty of time for play and exploration outside of sports. While sports can be a great way to stay healthy and build friendships, kids need to remember that it's just as important to relax and have fun - too much pressure can lead to burnout or even injuries. Ultimately, kids should focus on doing what they love most - one sport or several - and having a good time while doing it.

By encouraging kids to participate in activities they enjoy and allowing them the freedom to explore different disciplines, parents can help their children find the right balance between specialization and variety. With both options available, kids will get the chance to learn more about themselves.
